One of the projects that kept us burning the midnight oil in the last few months was DanceLife.
DanceLife is a complete online directory and social network, catering to the aspirations of all types of performers as well as anyone that is interested in dance and entertainment. The concept was developed to service the local dance community and industry related businesses by putting them in touch with each other. DanceLife launches at a time when dance, entertainment and performing is rapidly growing as an industry in Australia.
DanceLife provides all members the opportunity to add and view calendar events, suggest blog topics, post and reply to forum topics, upload and post photographs, create and become part of groups, sell items in the classifieds and see what castings and auditions are coming up.

Imagine being able to scan an image with your phone from a magazine restaurant review and having directions and a reservation form automatically downloaded to your phone. A new technology Telstra and other mobile network providers are introducing to Australian mobile networks does exactly this.
Widely used in Japan, “Square QR Codes” use image recognition software along with the built in cameras in phones to read the square barcodes. These barcodes contain instructions for downloading information from the web, which then appears on the phone. Uses for this technology are almost limitless, and applications range from magazines and business cards, barcodes displayed on LCD screens and even for launching guided tours for tourist information centers.
To try it out go to the “My Place” menu on your Telstra Next G phone and selecting the “Scan Code” option. If you’re on another network you can download a QR code reader from www.i-nigma.com or http://reader.kaywa.com
