December 2007 Issue

Hi

It's the final newsletter of the year, and what a great year 2007 has been, from our own interesting and diverse new developments to the various new media and communications technology introduced to the global market. We hope that 2007 has been a great year for you too. A big thank you must go out to all of you who have supported us throughout the year.

From everyone here at Demonz, we would like to wish all of you and your families a very safe & merry Christmas, and we look forward to seeing you in 2008!

You may recall in the last newsletter we mentioned SEO (Search Engine Optimisation), which aims to increase traffic and awareness of your web site by improving your ranking on popular search engines.

Social Media Optimisation (SMO) is somewhat related to SEO, as it can improve search engine rankings albeit in a different manner. Unlike SEO it can also reach audiences on popular networking sites to improve market leverage and recognition of your brand. Some social media may include networks such as Linkedln and Facebook, social bookmarking, video and photo sharing websites such as Youtube and Flickr. SMO basically takes advantage of the exponential explosion of the use of such sites allowing you to reach a wide range of audiences with a more targeted approach.

As it is still a relatively new idea, not many people are aware of the full potential of SMO, but stay tuned for further developments, and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us to see how we may be able to develop new applications to optimise your exposure.

Movember is the month long charity event held in November each year, where at the start each man registers with a clean shaven face. These "Mo Bros" grow and groom their moustache for the rest of the month, using it as a way of raising as much money and awareness of male health issues as possible.

This year, Movember raised over $10 million dollars which was split between the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and beyondblue – the national depression initiative.

Demonz Media is a proud supporter of the Movember cause, not only by donating to the charity, but also with a number of company members involved as "Mo Bros". Please visit www.movember.com.au to find out more about this charity event, what you can do to help, and perhaps even get your company involved next year.

Demonz Media has recently become a member of Australian Interactive Media Industry Association and has entered the newly completely Maersk Line tutorials in two categories for the 14th Annual AIMIA Awards: Best Corporate or Business-to-Business and Best Learning & Education.
