Demonz Media, now in German
Demonz Media, jetzt auch in Deutsch
Hi,
Our business activities across the Atlantic have been increasing rapidly over the past few years. Therefore, we are proud to present the German version of Demonz Media: www.demonzmedia.de.
The past few months have been extremely busy. We have been working on several projects including a few top secret ones. We have finished a new digital 3D presentation for Moffat’s Blue Seal Evolution series. The Locumsgroup website has already gone live. We are also very excited that two of the “Do Business” tutorials (ver 2.0) for Maersk Line are being finalised and they will be going live beginning of April. We have also put up some work samples of OBX Extreme, the Edentiti Presentation, as well as the Starcraft TV ad we created early this year.
There are a few other cool projects under the works but we can’t talk about it just yet ;) All in good time...
Btw, if you having trouble seeing this newsletter properly, you can access the online version at http://www.demonzmedia.com/Newsletters/Issue2007Mar/index.html.

Demonz launches Blue Seal
Launch of the Blue Seal Evolution series
Demonz Media is proud to become a launch partner for Moffat Australia, world leading manufacturers of professional cooking and catering equipment. The Italian company approached Demonz Media to help show case their innovative Blue Seal Evolution series of equipment on a DVD. The creation of the 3D presentation was a very challenging process which included everything from modifying the original CAD files, applying materials & animating 3D models to post production effects and DVD authoring.
The presentation featuring breath taking 3D was shown at the new product launch last week in Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. The DVD will be used for tradeshow point-of-sale displays and to educate their staff on the product range.

MHelp
Want help fast?
MHelp™ is a new training solution that is proving to be popular with big businesses. The easy to use help application delivers video based training right to your desktop all at the click of a button. The videos feature crisp interface recreations with instructional voiceovers for the whole Microsoft Office suite. M [short for Microsoft] Help will get you using Microsoft Office like a pro before you know it.
MHelp™ wanted the installation of their product range to be a breeze: Click Next, Next, Next and Finish. However, when you have to configure Internet Information Services and install the .Net Framework behind the scenes while a non technical user is clicking “Next, Next, Next”, things get pretty complicated.
This is why MHelp™ sought Demonz Media's services for creating their installer and deployment tools. We have completed the installer for MHelp™ Network Server/Client version and currently working on the MHelp™ Stand-alone and MHelp™ Online versions.

Office Wars
Microsoft vs Google vs Open Source
Over the past several months, everyone has been talking about how sexy the new Microsoft Office 2007 suite is. Its praise is well deserved because the new Office interface is indeed very slick and polished; not to mention that Microsoft seems to have really put a lot of thought towards the interface.
On the open source front, OpenOffice.org’s entire office suite provides a powerful and a free alternative to Microsoft Office, ideal for small to medium businesses who would rather spend their money on things other than license fees.
Then there is Google. With their “everything online” philosophy, the Google Docs & Speadsheets [currently in beta] is getting better and better everyday. With most traditional applications being ported online, it’s no surprise that Google is trying to take word processing and spreadsheet software onto the web; and it will be interesting to see the emergence of this new breed of online web applications that are trying to supplant traditional desktop applications.
