Hi

Demonz Media has been bustling with activity these last few months, looking after a lot of new and ongoing projects as well as a few developments of our own.

As you can see, we have entered the third dimension. See for yourself at http://www.demonzmedia.com/3d. It might just inspire you to get Demonz Media to design your very own flash creation, for your website, or other corporate presentations.

The advantage of a flash presentation is the ability to showcase your products and services in a dynamic manner, with the ability to reach a large audience. You can display your products in 3D, allowing potential customers to view them from all directions, providing improved interactivity, and increasing the whole online experience. This could give your business the competitive advantage.

Chances are, if you have a web site, you’ve heard of SEO. But why is SEO so important and what can it do for your business?

In any competitive industry, having a great web site may not be enough to make you stand out against your competition. This is why SEO has become a big player in the pursuit for a bigger share of the online market. This can range from companies that conduct business via E-commerce platforms, to those that simply use websites as an easy point of reference about their business information. SEO can be used to attract the attention of any internet user looking for a business like yours.

SEO aims to increase traffic and awareness of your web site, by improving the site ranking on popular search engines such as Google, and by doing so you allow your business to stand out to potential customers.

Demonz Media is pleased to welcome our new SEO specialist, Aaron Newton, allowing us to provide you with a range of SEO techniques to improve your search engine ranking.

Demonz Media can provide you with the advice you need to integrate the recommended SEO solution into your existing website, or how we can incorporate SEO into any of your new web-based projects.

We have a range of packages ranging from Demonz Basic, Demonz Professional and Demonz Expert to suit your business’ budget, but still allow you to get the most out of your online presence. These packages are designed to be incorporated into existing websites, but can also be included in any new Demonz project for a discounted rate.

The new Apple iPhone, released in June in the USA, is the one of the most advanced and revolutionary phones to grace the mobile technology market. It integrates a phone, Wi-Fi and Edge enabled internet, a 2 MP camera and the usual iPod capabilities into one sleek, functional device complete with a touchscreen facility.

The exciting new technology incorporated into the iPhone includes the multi-touch display, allowing the user to control everything with their fingertips, QWERTY predictive input keyboard for emails and SMS, the iPhone accelerometer and the proximity detector. The accelerometer specifically detects when the phone is changed between portrait and landscape – adapting the display to suit the arrangement of the phone. The proximity sensor uses infrared technology to turn off the display when the phone is lifted to the ear during a phone call. To take a look at this technology and more information on the iPhone, visit www.apple.com/iphone.

Unfortunately, the release of the iPhone in Australia is yet to be determined, primarily dependent on Australian carrier arrangements (rumour has it that it may be available around Christmas, or early 2008). Due to the late release in countries other than the US, and the unprecedented demand for the iPhone, there has also been a surge in the availability of hacking programs, and the sale of these phones on eBay. The problem with unlocking the handset is that it may be rendered useless once it has its software updated. Apple executives claim that it is not about “proactively disabling” a hacked or unlocked phone, rather that unauthorised unlocking programs cause some damage to the iPhone software.

So whilst you wait for the iPhone to be released here in Australia, you may want to check out the new iPod with similar touchscreen facilities and Wi-Fi internet access that was released at the beginning of September. It is available at 8GB (retailing at $219) and 16GB ($549) capacities.

You may remember a few months ago that Demonz Media created a tailored 3D showcase presentation for Moffat Australia to coincide with the launch of their new Blue Seal Evolution series. Since then, Demonz has also designed and developed a site that integrates the presentation into an interactive flash website.

This site has won the July 2007 Platinum Website Award which is based on a number of criteria, such as graphics, layout, artwork, ease of navigation, functionality and originality. You can take a look at the site at bluesealevolution.com.

On the same month of July,we also received a gold award for enizone, a mashup tool for which we did a lot of user interface work earlier this year. A mashup tool allows a user to combine different types of media. In the case of enizone, you can combine video/audio feeds with text and web feeds.

We hope that these acknowledgements inspire you to change the way you present your products or services online.

As we become more aware of the problems associated with our energy consumption and the impact it’s having on the environment, there are increasing options to offset the damage that we do, as individuals and as businesses.

Demonz Media has switched to 100% GreenPower, ensuring that all the energy that we consume is derived from renewable resources, including solar, wind, water and biomass derived electricity.

GreenPower is available from a number of different providers, and can be purchased at a variety of different levels, from 10% to 100% GreenPower.

Visit greenpower.gov.au for more information.
