The History of The Australian Web - Visualisation

Thursday 1st of October 2009 04:08:47 PM

Online users are moving more and more into social networks as the dominant online web activity. Recently we came across this great visualisation from Nielsen Online and AIMIA (the Australian Interactive Media Industry Association), which shows the usage of various high traffic websites along a timeline over the last decade. The amazing thing is the rapid increase in social media websites around the mid-2007’s - especially Facebook, which according to this data now gets more unique page-views then google.com.au! Absolutely astonishing.
